The Fund

Objective of the Fund

The overall objective of the Fund is to mobilise enough funds to support the Cardinal’s projects on health and education, namely :

a) helping with the payment of health insurance premiums for as many poor families as possible to enable them access health care through the national health insurance scheme.

b) providing maternal and child healthcare for women and children especially the underprivileged, poor and outcast in deprived communities; and

c) providing equal educational opportunities, especially, for the marginalized and disadvantaged youth living in rural and remote communities.

Management of The Fund

The Fund will be managed by a 19- member Board of Trustees chaired by his Eminence Peter Cardinal Appiah Turkson.

Application of Income

All the yearly income of the Fund are applied by the trustees for its intended purposes.  The cost of secretariat and administrative expenses are borne by members of the Board of Trustees. This Charity is an honest endeavour; and proceeds will be used transparently and with the greatest respect for the intention of the donor.

The Cardinal is convinced that any arrangement that brings people together, to focus on specific interventions that enlarge the opportunities available to deprived communities, and that enable them to benefit from healthcare and education services, bringing them joy and dignity, is creditable and worthy of support: your support!
